Palm Springs VillageFest
Palm Springs VillageFest in a happening after dusk, every Thursday on Palm Canyon Drive, from Amado to Baristo road. It's a traffic-free outdoor block party, and every- one shows up. Parents bring little kids for the pony rides and to hunt for bargains. Teens come to mingle, flirt and see their friends. Old folks add spice to their lives, listening to the street musicians and having dinner from a sidewalk vendor. Healthy eaters patronize the certified farmer's market for fresh bread, cherries, tomatoes, mangoes, pineapples, avocados, fiery peppers and whatever else is on tap. It's a great way to spend an evening.
